Achievements
The department is the recipient of the overall winner’s trophy for the competitions conducted by the evening college in connection with “Swami Vivekananda Jayanti Celebrations- 2011”.
Mr. Karthik and Mr. Rajkamal successfully rehabilitated 23 delinquent children with their family during their field work and also conducted “Sports Day” for the children residing in Government Children Home on 04.01.2011.
Mr. Vivekanandan won first in face painting, first in T-shirt design, second in Rangoli and second in Slogan Writing, competitions organized by Rotaract Club of Green Galaxy & Scions on 12th and 13th February 2011.
Mr. Thanigaivelan won first place in face painting competitions organized by Rotaract Club of Green Galaxy & Scions on 12th and 13th February 2011.
Mr. Vivekanandan acted as a resource person in training street theatre to the staff of Balavihar, a Vountary organization and also organized eye camp for the inmates of the same home on 22nd and 23rd February 2011.
Mr. Mohan organized a “Women Empowerment Programme” at MGR Colony, Anna Nagar on 27th February 2011.
Mr. Dilip Kumar organized a programme named “Pudhu Vidiyal” for the street children on 03rd March 2011.
Mr. Dayanithi organized “Sports competition” to the underprivileged children in ICCW, Shenoy Nagar on 05th March 2011.
Mr. Narendran and Mr. Dhanajeyan organized a rally from Anna Memorial to Gandhi Statue at Marina Beach in observance of “The International Social Work Day” on 15th March 2011.
