Association Activities

Activity 1: Intra Quiz Competition

Department is conducting a minimum five intra quiz competition every year. Senior students have been conducting this competition for junior students. Thereby the students can get the leadership quality, power of communication, power of managing audience and knowledge on various fields while the audience and other participants get some knowledge about the latest technology.

Activity 2: Intra Paper Presentation Competition

Activity 3: Technical Seminar

For improving the awareness about latest technology, the Department conducts at least one technical seminar every month. Department invites experts in IT industry for the seminars. Department conducts a minimum of five technical seminars every year.

Activity 4: Man-making Seminar

For improving the quality of the students on the various fields such as discipline, service, divinity, the Department arranges seminar with presentations by spiritual leaders and eminent leaders in society. Department conducts a minimum of five man-making seminars every year.

2011-2012

In the presence of our Secretary, SWAMI ABHIRAMANANDAJI MAHARAJ, our Principal Dr.S.Swaminathan and our Evening College In-Charge Br.BODHATMA CHAITANYA MAHARAJ, Association of Computer Science Department was inaugurated on 22nd July 2011 by Mr A.V. RANGARAMANUJAM, Management Consultant, Alumni of IIM, Calcutta

On 13th September 2011, MR.Praburaj, NIIT has given the lecture on the topic “Data warehousing”.

First Intra department Paper presentation competition was conducted on 16th August 2011. Prof.I.Prithiviraj, Guest Faculty, Dept of Computer Science, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda College was chief guest for this event.

Second Intra department Paper presentation competition was conducted on 7th September 2011. Prof. S.Mugundhan, Assistant professor , Dept of English, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda College was chief guest for this event.

Third Intra department Paper presentation competition was conducted on 16th September 2011. Prof. G.Ulaganathan, Assistant professor, Dept of Computer Science Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda College was chief guest for this event .

Department has conducted first Intra department Quiz competition on 11th August 2011. Mr. Palani Andavar, Software Eng, CTS was chief guest for this events.

Department has conducted second Intra department Quiz competition on 6th September 2011. Prof. Perumal, Head in Dept of Computer Science , Vels University was chief guest for this events.

Department has conducted third Intra department Quiz competition on 15th September 2011. T.Velmurugan, Associate professor, Dept of Computer Science DG Vaishnav College was chief guest for this events.

2010-11

In the presence of our Secretary, Swami Atmaghanananda Maharaj and our Principal Dr.S.Swaminathan, Association of Computer Science was inaugurated on 22nd July 2010 by Mr.P.Raman, Software Engineer. He gave the inaugural address on the topic “Introduction to Free and Open Source Software”.

On 30th August 2010, Mr.Govind Natarajan, Software Engineer in HTC Global Services gave a lecture on the topic “Latest Trends in MainFrame”.

On 7th February 2011, Dr. Abiramasundram, Professor, Dept of Sanskrit, R.K.M.Vivekananda College (Autonomous) gave a talk on the topic “Internal Revolution”.

On 10th February 2011, Mr.Ramesh, Office Superintendent, R.K.M.Vivekananda College (Autonomous) gave a lecture on the topic “Education According to Swamiji”.

Second Intra department Paper presentation competition was conducted on 22nd September 2010. Prof.Perumal, Head, Dept of Computer Science, Vel’s University was chief guest for this event.

Third Intra department Paper presentation competition was conducted on 3rd February 2011. Prof.Kumara Guru, Head, Dept of Computer Science, Guru Nanak College was chief guest for this event.

Fourth Intra department Paper presentation competition was conducted on 21st February 2011. Prof.Jagadesh, Senior Professor, Dept of Computer Science, D.B.Jain College was chief guest for this event.

Fifth Intra department Paper presentation competition was conducted on 7th March 2011. Prof.A.P.Babu, Senior Professor, Dept of Computer Science, TSN Narayan Swami College was chief guest for this event.

First Intra department Quiz competition was conducted on 26th August 2010. Prof T.Prabhu, Head, Dept of Computer Science, Tamilnadu Arts College & Science College was chief guest for this event.

Second Intra department Quiz competition was on 8th September 2010. Prof.krishnamurthy, Assistant professor in Dept of Computer Science , pachiyappa’s college was chief guest for this event.

Third Intra department Quiz competition on 11th October 2010. Br.Bodhatma Chaitanya Maharaj, In-charge of Evening college was chief guest for this event.

Fourth Intra department Quiz competition on 17th February 2011.Prof.Balamurugan, Vel’s university was chief guest for this event.

Fifth Intra department Quiz competition on 28th February 2011.Prof.Perumal, Head, Dept of Computer Science, Vel’s university was chief guest for this event.

First Ad Zap Competition on 12th October 2010. Prof.A.Ganesan ,Assistant professor, Dept of English was chief guest for this event.

Valedictory for Computer Science Association was held on 22nd March 2011. Swami Lakshmidharananda Maharaj gave the benedictory address and Principal, Dr.S.Swaminathan delivered the presidential address. Valedictory address was given by Dr.Sri Vatsa, Senior Professor, St. Joseph Engineering College.

Student Activities

K.R.Kishore, S.Koushik and Vipul Kumar developed a real time project for fee collection from students. This project is being used by office for collecting fee from students.
