BIOSCIENCE comprehensively tackles all these woes.
Started in the year 2001 with Dr. Ramakrishnan as its head, the Department of Biochemistry has many records of very valuable service, not only to biochemistry, but also to various aspects of Life Sciences.
"Biovision", an in-house magazine, published right from inception of the department brings out the hidden and unknown fact in biochemistry for the benefit of the students.
Many alumni are pursuing research while some have been placed in reputed companies like Amazon, Dicolyte, HP, L & T and Thompson.
Biochemistry is looked upon by many that underpins and explains the essential processes of life.
The Department offers B.Sc (Biochemistry)course.

Internationally, in nations including India, Europe and America, the scope for research and the importance of biosciences is understood and there is heavy funding and job opportunity.
